Gout

Gout is a type of inflammatory arthritic that causes a sudden red, hot, swollen joint. It most common affects the great toe joint. It is cause by elevated uric acid levels in the blood. The uric acid crystallizes, and the crystals deposit in joints, tendons, and surrounding tissues and are severely painful. Treatment can include anti-inflammatories, cholchicine, steroids, and injections just to name a few.
